All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
— Acts 2:44-47

Wake Groups meet in houses throughout our community every week for the purpose of discipleship and community. This is the primary way to connect to the Wake family. A typical group gathering will include a casual time of snacks and getting to know others, Bible study and discussion, and prayer for one another. Our groups are intentionally multi-ethnic and multi-generational.

Our defining characteristics

When we look at scripture we see very clearly the family of God being woven together. We believe we should model what they practiced. Here is how we have defined “family” from the scriptures and how it has become our values for each of our Groups.

F - Freely Gives

A - Affirms and Corrects

M - Matures Together

I - Invests Beyond

L - Loves Intentionally

Y - Yields Fruit

Our community RHYTHM

Every first Wednesday of the month our groups gather together for Community Night. This is an opportunity for each group to invite their friends and neighbors to come hang out with them. Then the following three weeks are nights of Word and Prayer (depending on the night of the week your group meets).
